Yes, this blog is very much dedicated to my husband who inspired me to hone my culinary skills. now, I can rustle up a decent meal for him and also loves to experiment quite a lot. I am sure there are many who are always on the look out for yummy recipes. Let's share them here. Oh, he simply loves what i prepare in my kitchen and exclaims yummy! The first recipe i am posting here is simple semolina idlis with this divine tomato chutney.
Semolina idlis
Ingredients.
1 1/2 cup Sooji or semolina roasted
1 cup curd
1 tsp eno fruit salt.
1 tsp common salt.
Method.
1. Mix all ingredients well and keep aside for 15-20 mins.
2. I cook in microwave, so after steaming the water for 5-6 minutes, put the mixture in the idli stands and place in microwave on full power. Again it takes, 5-6 minutes.
Tomato Chutney
Ingredients
2 tomatoes chopped
1/2 onion chopped
1 tsp urad dal
1 tsp chana dal
8-10 curry leaves
1 green chilli chopped
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
salt to taste.
Method.
1 put oil in a pan. Add green chillies, dals, curry leaves, onion, tomato, turmeric powder and salt. Let it cook till it mashes.
2. Put off flame. Let it cool and then blend.
